IDS was founded by Andrew Jones the Managing Director in 1999. Several close colleagues were invited to join the company based on their technical abilities and the commitment to the IDS vision.
Since 1995 Lotus Development UK and British Telecom provide the Lotus Notes Public Network. The service used Notes native RPC to access hosted databases. Unfortunately the operating costs could only be justified by large Corporations.
During 1996, Lotus embraced the Internet and Lotus Domino found a new market.
The Internet was about to take a dose of steroids to start an unforeseen rate of growth.

That growth fuelled a demand for Service Providers to offering Lotus Domino. Due to a lack of technical understanding of Lotus Domino. UK Service Providers failed to implement the platform and the demand for Domino Hosting grew.
Interactive Domino Solutions was created with a simple and single purpose. To provide secure and resilient Lotus Domino hosting at affordable prices to the small and medium sized business.
The co-founders were all former IBM Lotus Employees who then worked in Central London as contractors and consultants for some of the largest blue chip companies: city banks, insurance brokers and investment banks.

In total they have over 20 years of Lotus Domino Administration and Development experience and many more within IT Industry.
We are now providing Managed Domino Servers running version 7 and the customer feedback is great.
